What Makes Elizabeth Music Group Different From Other Music Publishers?

Elizabeth Music Group Publishing takes a more hands-on, transparent approach to music publishing. Rather than simply registering songs and waiting for royalties to arrive, our team actively works to help musicians understand their publishing, recover royalties, and create additional opportunities for their music.

Here are some of the key differences:

1. Monthly royalty payouts

Traditional publishing companies may pay royalties quarterly, semi-annually, or on other delayed schedules. Elizabeth Music Group provides monthly royalty payouts when royalties are received on behalf of our members, giving musicians faster access to the money their music has generated.

2. A focus on royalty recovery

We don't want musicians to simply collect the royalties that happen to find their way to them. Our team works across multiple PROs, mechanical collection sources, international societies, digital platforms, and other pay sources to help identify and collect royalties that may otherwise go uncollected.

3. Transparency

Members receive access to our royalty portal so they can better understand their publishing activity and the royalties being collected. We believe musicians should be able to see and understand how their publishing income is being generated.

4. Direct access to a real team dedicated to providing top tier support

We're not interested in treating musicians like account numbers. Elizabeth Music Group emphasizes direct communication and personal relationships, including access to our publishing team. You can contact us via phone number, email, or our Discord community and can even speak directly to the CEO Zachary Michael.

5. Sync opportunities and creative support

Publishing members can receive access to our sync licensing opportunities through our exclusive Discord community, where we share sync briefs and other opportunities. We can pitch appropriate songs, beats, loops, and demos for potential opportunities in film, television, advertising, games, and other media.

We don't guarantee placements but we do give our publishing roster opportunities to have their music considered.

6. A community, not just a publishing service

EMG members can participate in our creative community, where producers, artists, and songwriters can collaborate, share beats and loops, submit demos and hooks, and connect around creative opportunities.

7. Education comes first

One of the biggest differences is our emphasis on education and transparency. We want musicians to understand what music publishing actually is, where royalties come from, and why simply registering a song with a PRO may not be enough to collect everything they are owed.

At the end of the day, Elizabeth Music Group is built around a simple belief:

Musicians deserve better.

Our goal isn't just to represent songs. It's to help creators understand their publishing, recover the royalties they've earned, get paid consistently, and gain access to additional opportunities that can help their music career grow.
